Prime Broadcaster

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Prime Broadcaster is a mobile radio broadcasting application developed by Prime Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored, and protected when you use the Prime Broadcaster application.

1. Information We Access

Prime Broadcaster may request access to certain information and device features that are necessary for the application to provide its broadcasting functionality.

2. Microphone Access

Prime Broadcaster requires microphone access so that users can capture their voice and broadcast live audio to a configured streaming server.

Microphone audio is used for broadcasting features requested by the user. The application does not intentionally record or transmit microphone audio when broadcasting or another microphone-related feature has not been activated by the user.

3. Music and Audio Files

Prime Broadcaster may allow users to select music or other audio files stored on their device for use during a broadcast.

The application only accesses files selected or otherwise authorised by the user. These files may be processed locally on the device and transmitted as part of a live broadcast when the user starts broadcasting.

4. Streaming Server Information

Users may configure their own Icecast, Shoutcast, Shoutcast2, or other supported streaming servers.

Server information may include:

This information is used to establish the streaming connection requested by the user. Sensitive credentials should be stored securely on the user's device where supported.

5. Third-Party Streaming Servers

Prime Broadcaster is designed to work with streaming servers operated by Prime Technologies as well as servers operated by third parties.

When you start a broadcast, audio and related stream information may be transmitted directly to the streaming server that you configured.

Prime Technologies is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, or data handling practices of independent third-party streaming providers.

6. Internet Access

Prime Broadcaster requires internet access to connect to streaming servers, transmit live broadcasts, retrieve server status information, and provide other online broadcasting functionality.

7. Background Broadcasting

When a user starts a live broadcast, Prime Broadcaster may continue using the microphone, processing audio, and maintaining a network connection while the application is running in the background or while the device screen is locked.

Android may display a persistent notification while a live broadcast is active.

8. Personal Information

Prime Broadcaster does not require users to be customers of Prime Technologies in order to configure a compatible streaming server.

The application does not sell users' personal information.

9. Data Sharing

Prime Technologies does not sell personal information collected through Prime Broadcaster.

Audio and streaming information may be transmitted to the streaming server selected and configured by the user as part of the application's core broadcasting functionality.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by Prime Broadcaster. Sensitive streaming credentials should be stored using secure device storage where available.

Users are responsible for protecting their streaming server credentials and for using trusted streaming providers.

11. Data Retention

Settings and streaming profiles may remain stored locally on the user's device until they are changed, deleted, the application's data is cleared, or the application is uninstalled.

12. Children's Privacy

Prime Broadcaster is not specifically designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

13. User Control

Users can control application permissions through their Android device settings. Users may also remove saved streaming profiles and credentials from within the application where this feature is available.

Revoking certain permissions, such as microphone access, may prevent broadcasting features from functioning.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the application, applicable laws, or our data practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
